As part of its efforts to assist all of its clients in building quick, dependable, and intelligent fully-wireless networks using cutting-edge technology, Huawei has introduced a Wi-Fi 7 with a 40Gbps Wi-Fi speed.
The business added that it is dedicated to devoting a significant amount of financial and human resources to the creation of the Wi-Fi standard.
This coincides with the release of the most recent wireless local area network (WLAN) standard by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), 802.11be, also referred to as Extremely High Throughput (EHT) and soon to be known as Wi-Fi 7.
Wi-Fi has evolved through seven standard generations, starting with 802.11 and now the era of Wi-Fi 7 or 802.11be.
The 6 GHz spectrum of Wi-Fi 6E is passed down to Wi-Fi 7 based on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. With cutting-edge features including multi-link operation, Wi-Fi 7 achieves a 4x improvement over Wi-Fi 6 in terms of space resource utilization and potential Wi-Fi speed increase of up to 46 Gbps.
According to a public report released in 2021, Huawei is on record for submitting the largest number of Wi-Fi 7 standard contributions.
The IPlytics 2021 report stated that beyond that, Huawei is also the leading contributor in terms of standard contributions for Wi-Fi 4, 5, 6, and 7 and has accumulated many innovative technologies and patents, as well as being the front-runner in the Wi-Fi industry standards.
Dr. Osama Aboul-Magd served as the chairman of the 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) Task Group, and Dr. Edward Au, as the technical editor of the 802.11be (Wi-Fi 7) Task Group, and has been fully involved in the formulation and release of the Wi-Fi 7 standard.
On September 20, Huawei launched the industry’s first enterprise-class Wi-Fi 7 AP at HUAWEI CONNECT 2022 in Bangkok, helping enterprises develop more innovative applications. On October 26, 2023, Huawei won the award for the “Best Enterprise Wi-Fi Network 2023” from the wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) during it 11th WBA industry award held in France.
Huawei’s new Wi-Fi 7 AP showcases the company’s many innovations, including intelligent antenna tuning, dynamic 5GHz and 6GHz band switching, extended backhaul/power infrastructure, and IoT sensing capabilities to meet the growing traffic demands at many enterprise locations.
The outstanding technical innovations demonstrated in the Wi-Fi 7 installation at Shenzhen Talent Institute can be scaled at other high-demanding enterprise locations worldwide through the company’s global presence
Huawei AirEngine Wi-Fi 7 series APs open the door to new experiences and can connect to a large number of IoT devices simultaneously.
This in turn provides powerful performance, excellent experience, and extraordinary reliability to help enterprises construct an intelligent IoT world.
