The Chiefdom being the second largest in the state after the Zazzau Emirate is predominantly an agrarian community.

The chiefdom shares boundaries with other chiefdoms across the state. In Kajuru local Government.
Adara chiefdom has boundaries with Kajuru chiefdom, Gbagi chiefdom, Kauru Chiefdon and Zazzau Emirate while in Kachia L.G.A, the chiefdom shares boundaries with Ikulu chiefdom, Jaba(Ham) chiefdom, Bajju chiefdom, Jere chiefdom, Kagarko Chiefdom, Koro chiefdom and Minna Emirate Council in Niger State.

The Adara custom attaches great authority to leopard skin as only Heroes are capable of killing such fierce animals.
The Regalia of the Agom-Adara shall therefore incorporate the leopard skin round the cap and over-coat (Alkyabba), lead gear and shoes, the logo of the Chiefdom shall incorporate a hoe(Garma), a bow and Arrow depicting the Adara rich cultural heritage, industry, hunting and self-confidence in warMode of Ascension mode of ascension is rotational.
The office of Agom-Adara shall be rotated between the two ruling houses. At the creation of the chiefdom in the year 2000, it was a second class status until 2007 when the chiefdom was upgraded to a first class status by His Excellency Arch. Mohammmed Namadi Sambo, the executve governor of Kaduna State.
The First Agom Adara his Royal Highness, Hon. Bulus Bahago, Agom Adara I was born on 26th March, 1937 in Kufana, Kajuru local government area of Kaduna state. At the creation of the chiefdom, HRH late Bulus Bahago who emerged from the lower ruling House became the first Agom-Adara. Barely four months on the throne, he died on 26/5/2001 after a brief illness, and was buried according to Christian rites on 2/6/2001.
The Second Agom Adara his Royal Highness, Mr Abubakar Maigari, Agom-Adara II was born in 1944 at Katari in Kachia local government area of Kaduna state to the family of Mr and Mrs Audu Maigari Owum Makama. He was selected and installed as the second chief of Adara on 1st/7/2001 by the then Governor of Kaduna state, Alh. Ahmad Makarfi. He emerged from the upper ruling house. Prior to his appointment as the Agom-adara, he was the District head of Katari. Unfortunately, he died on Sunday 1st /4/2007 and was buried according to Christian rites.
The third Agom Adara His Royal Highness, Agom-Adara III was born on 11th November, 1954 at Ikuzeh, Rimau District of Kajuru Local Government area of Kaduna state. His father was Galadima Agarako Anum and his mother was Garkuwa Arulali Galadima. He was selected by the council of Kingmakers and installed by the then Governor of Kaduna State, Alh. Ahmad Mohammed Makarfi on 26th/5/2007. He is from the lower ruling house. Before his appointment as the Agom-Adara, he was the Head of Rimau, Bulus Bahago Abubakar Maigari.
Maiwada Galadima another first class Agom Adara after his death, It was worrisome that Adara Chiefdom which was a first-class Chiefdom and the second largest Chiefdom in the state was unjustly scrapped by the immediate past government of Kaduna state Mallam Nasiru El-rufai.
The creation of Kachia and Kufana chiefdoms was never in the interest of Adara people. Adara is the second largest ethnic group after the Hausa Fulani in Kaduna State but they have been deliberately divided against the interest of the people.
The creation of Kachia and Kufana Chiefdoms with even third class status is not for good and development rather to weaken and obliterate the ethnicity and the people.
Looking at Zazzau Emirate Being the largest with almost 10 LGAs were not splitted.
The splitting of Adara people thereby rendering them totally degraded. Now that new administration is on board, we are very optimistic with the quality leadership of the Executive Governor of Kaduna State Mall Uba Sani.
We the Adara have acknowledged that the Governor is a true democrat who believes in the opinion and interest of the people. He listens. We pray and plead to him and the honourable speaker of the Kaduna state house of assembly Mall Yusuf Liman to kindly come to the plight of Adara people to restore the unjustly scrapped Adara Chiefdom.
The Adara need a single Chiefdom with one cultural and traditional heritage. If this plight is granted, Adara people will be most grateful to governor Uba Sani and the Speaker Kaduna state house of assembly Right Honourable Yusuf Ibrahim Liman.
Adara people will continue to support massively the present government for peace, progress and development. Therefore, good people of Adara are hereby called upon to support this peaceful journey of restoring our lost glory, heritage and rich tradition. We believe there is time for everything. We pray the exit of the past government in Kaduna state marks the freedom and progress of Adara Chiefdom.
